In 1971, Billy became the President of bankFNBD (First National Bank of DeRidder), where he played a pivotal role in the bank’s growth and success until his retirement in 1990. His leadership was characterized by a focus on community, strong business acumen, and an unwavering dedication to service, helping to shape the bank into a cornerstone of the DeRidder area.
Beyond his professional achievements, Billy was a highly active member of his community. He served on our Board of Directors here at bankFNBD from 1983-2017. He served as a Board member for Beauregard Memorial Hospital and was involved with organizations such as the Leesville Rotary Club and the DeRidder Lions Club. His service and commitment to the local economy were vital to the region’s growth during his tenure.
Billy’s contributions to bankFNBD, combined with his service to the community, exemplified the values of professionalism, integrity, and devotion. His legacy as a trusted leader and respected community member will continue to inspire those who had the privilege of working with him.
