bankFNBD is pleased to announce that Robie Touchette will assume the role of Chief Executive Officer & President, succeeding John Nichols, who will retire after a distinguished banking career and continue serving as Chairman of the Board. Effective April 1, 2026, this leadership transition represents a key step in the bank’s continued growth and long-term succession planning.
After 47 years in banking and 12 years at bankFNBD Nichols will be retiring from his executive responsibilities. He will remain on the Board of Directors as active Chairman and will assist during the leadership transition.
“I have great confidence in Robie’s leadership and am excited to see the vision and strength he will bring as CEO and President as bankFNBD moves into its next chapter,” Nichols said.
Touchette brings more than three decades of banking experience and a deep understanding of the financial needs of communities across Southwest Louisiana. His proven leadership, strategic expertise, and commitment to local decision making align with bankFNBD’s mission to provide responsive, community focused financial solutions.
Since joining bankFNBD in 2019, Touchette has held key leadership roles, most recently serving as Senior Vice President and Chief Banking Officer, and previously as Senior Vice President and Beauregard Parish Regional President. In these roles, he has played an integral part in strengthening customer relationships, supporting local businesses, and advancing the bank’s service-driven culture. His leadership at bankFNBD builds upon more than 30 years of experience in community banking.
As Chief Executive Officer & President, Touchette will focus on ensuring bankFNBD continues to meet the evolving financial needs of Southwest Louisiana while maintaining the local relationships, accessibility, and personalized service that define community banking.
Reflecting on this transition, Touchette shared:

Touchette is a graduate of the LSU Graduate School of Banking. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from McNeese State University.
